Larder — Privacy Policy

The short version: Larder does not collect anything. It has no account system, sends no data anywhere, and makes no network requests at all. Everything you put into the app stays on your device.

What Larder stores, and where

Larder keeps the following on your device only:

• The food you add, its location, its level, and its date
• Barcodes you have taught it, and the ingredient each one means
• Your shopping list
• Your reminder preferences

This is stored in the app's own private storage on your iPhone. It is not uploaded, backed up to any service operated by us, or shared with anyone. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Camera

If you use the shelf-scanning or barcode-scanning features, Larder uses your camera to read printed labels and barcodes. Photographs are processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework, and are not saved by Larder and not transmitted anywhere. Larder asks for camera permission only at the moment you first use one of those features, and the rest of the app works normally if you decline.

Notifications

Reminders about food about to spoil are off by default. If you turn them on, Larder asks for notification permission at that point. The notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by your device; no server is involved and no information about your kitchen leaves your phone.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. Larder contains no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no crash reporting service, and no third-party code of any kind. Larder does not track you across apps or websites.

Children

Larder does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised date above.
