We read every message and usually reply within a couple of days. If you're reporting content or someone's behavior, say so in the subject line and we'll prioritize it.
Remember When is for recording the small, obscure memories you'd otherwise lose — the ones that start with "remember when we…" — as short videos or voice recordings, and sharing them only with the specific people who were there.
Nothing you record is public. A memory is visible only to the people you tag in it. There is no feed, no followers, and no way for a stranger to find you.
Sharing runs through iCloud, so a few things have to line up:
Open the memory and look under the details — it will say whether each person has opened it yet or is still invited.
Comments sync through iCloud and can take a moment. Open the memory and pull down to refresh, and make sure you have a working connection. If a comment still hasn't appeared after a few minutes, email us.
Transcription runs entirely on your device, which means your language has to be downloaded for on-device dictation. Check Settings › General › Keyboard › Dictation and make sure dictation is on for your language.
Transcription is optional — a memory saves fine without it, and you can always type what was said yourself when you're saving.
Open any memory or comment of theirs, tap the ⋯ button (or press and hold the comment), and choose Block. Everything from them is removed from your device and nothing of theirs reaches you again.
You can see and undo blocks in Settings › Blocked people.
Use Report in the same ⋯ menu, or Settings › Report a problem for anything else. Pick what's wrong and add any detail — the memory or comment is hidden from you immediately, and an email opens so we get the details. Tagging someone in something illegal or harassing isn't allowed, and we act on reports; anything serious is reviewed within 24 hours.
Unlimited memories. Without Premium you can keep up to 100 of your own memories. Memories other people tag you in never count toward your limit.
Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your device — that's Apple's screen, not ours.
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore purchases. This is also what to use after reinstalling or moving to a new device. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
If it still doesn't unlock, email us with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
To delete one memory, open it, tap ⋯, and choose Delete.
To remove everything, use Settings › Delete my account. That erases every memory, recording, comment, and tag from your device and from iCloud, and revokes access for everyone you'd shared with. It can't be undone.
Memories you've shared are stored in your iCloud account and come back when you sign in on the new device. Memories you never shared live only on your device, so make sure your device backup is on (Settings › [your name] › iCloud › iCloud Backup).
Only so you can tag people by name instead of typing addresses. Your contacts are read on your device and never uploaded. You can decline and still use the app — you'll just enter emails or phone numbers by hand.
Email corinlovesmath@gmail.com and tell us what happened, what you expected, and roughly when it happened. Screenshots help a lot. If it's about a specific memory, its title and date are enough — please don't send us recordings.
Remember When has no servers and collects nothing about how you use it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
